In Cahoots With

I just had a bit of fun this afternoon helping a buyer of mine on Ebay with a bit of fun. They purchased a character figure from me from the animated movie Monsters Inc. His name -- Sulley.

I received a request asking if I could take some pictures of Sulley with some of Montana's landscape in the background and email it to him before I mailed his purchase. He said there is a joke going on at work about a person's Sulley that has come up missing and every so often the owner gets an email picture with Sulley showing up somewhere around the world. Kind of like a "Where's Waldo?" game going on.

Since we are experiencing days and days of overcast weather and tons of rain to the point of some flooding in Montana, I chose to use some of the pictures I took this past Saturday to Fort Benton, Montana. Pictures will be following with another blog, but here are the ones of Sulley.

I don't think I did a bad job standing him in front of my computer monitor and snapping some photos. My email has been sent and I may never hear anything further, but it was fun playing for a bit.

Love Those Shoes

What a fun Summer outing to play and keep cool -- bowling. The kids have played a couple times this month with Eagle Mount. I love the place here in Great Falls. It is the only one that has stayed open in this town since the recession started.

A Good Shot

Thought I would share this picture, Avery Zefram, age 10, took while we (Wynston, Avery, Uncle Robert and myself) were at the park playing with a new basketball on this chilly Easter Sunday.

It was a good shot for the person throwing the basketball as well as Avery snapping the photograph of the ball going through the net. We were playing a little H O R S E and P I G.

We have been having some wind here which keeps it from being nice to play or stay outside much. All of us do love seeing the sunshine more these days.

The guys have been fishing, but haven't brought home anything. They are talking and listening for leads as to where the fish are biting.

This is my "good shot" photo of our outing on Easter. The seagulls are aplenty at the duck pond. I love that I got this one as it was lifting up with the wings out.

Kite Flying

Today, the boys (Wynston and Avery) went kite flying with Uncle Robert and myself. Even though it was COOL outside we braved it as the winds were just right to lift the kites almost immediately.

Avery concluded the outing by saying, "It was fun, but my toes got a little cold".

Figure This Out Puzzle Fun

See if you can figure it out...

I am sending this only to my smart friends. I could not figure it out and had to look at the answer. See if you can figure out what these words have in common.

1 Banana
2 Dresser
3 Grammar
4 Potato
5 Revive
6 Uneven
7 Assess

Are you peeking or have you already given up?
Give it another try. Look at each word carefully.

(You'll kick yourself when you discover the answer.)

This Is Cool.

Answer: No, it is not that they all have at least 2 double letters, nor is it about the vowel arrangements, tempting though they were at first glance.

Answer:
In all of the words listed, if you take the first letter, place it at the end of the word, and then spell the word backwards, it will be the same word.

The Tater Family

Well, A Girl Potato and A Boy Potato had eyes for each other, and finally they got married, and had a little sweet potato, which they called 'Yam.'

Of course, they wanted the best for Yam.

When it was time, they told her about the facts of life.

They warned her about going out and getting half-baked, so she wouldn't get accidentally mashed, and get a bad name for herself like 'Hot Potato,' and end up with a bunch of Tater Tots.

Yam said not to worry, no Spud would get her into the sack and make a rotten potato out of her!

But on the other hand she wouldn't stay home and become a Couch Potato either.

She would get plenty of exercise so as not to be skinny like her Shoestring cousins.

When she went off to Europe, Mr. and Mrs. Potato told Yam to watch out for the hard-boiled guys from Ireland . And the greasy guys from France called the French Fries.

And when she went out west in the USA , they told her to watch out for the Indians so she wouldn't get scalloped.

Yam said she would stay on the straight and narrow and wouldn't associate with those high class Yukon Golds, or the ones from the other side of the tracks who advertise their trade on all the trucks that say, 'Frito Lay.'

Mr. and Mrs. Potato sent Yam to Idaho P.U. (that's
Potato University) so when she graduated she'd really be in the chips.

But in spite of all they did for her, one-day Yam came home and announced she was going to marry Tom Brokaw.

Tom Brokaw!!!

Mr. and Mrs. Potato were very upset.

They told Yam she couldn't possibly marry Tom Brokaw because he's just...

well he's just a...

Are you ready for this?

Are you sure?

This Hat

An old lady was standing at the railing of the cruise ship
holding her hat tight so that it would not blow away in the wind.

A gentleman approached her and said,
"Pardon me, madam.
I do not intend to be forward
but did you know that your dress
is blowing up in this high wind?"

"Yes, I know," said the lady.
"I need both my hands
to hold onto this hat."

"But madam, you must know that you are
not wearing any panties
and your privates are exposed!"
said the gentleman in earnest.

The woman looked down,
then back up at the man
and replied,
"Sir, anything you see down there
is 85 years old.
I just bought this hat yesterday!"
