We have had several trips to the local "Duck Pond" in the past week. There are more geese and sea gulls than there are ducks right now.
One thing I did notice was how rapidly thawing of the ice has occured. Just recently people were able to be out on the pond ice skating and some parents were even sledding the young children around.
My brother, Robert is the patient one and decided to hand feed some geese. The kids were amazed he could get the geese to cooperate. They are a bit scared of the geese and the aggressiveness they show when feeding.
